It’s August already, which means we’re in the dog days of summer and it can be hard to beat the heat. It’s when most people take off on a summer vacation, which would explain traffic easing up a bit, but it also means the city streets become a ghost town. It’s also a little bittersweet since it’s the last stretch of summer, before school begins again, normal schedules resume and before the chill comes back into the air. But here at Söfft, we’re already one step ahead of the game. While everyone else is enjoying the remainder of these summer days, we’re bypassing August in favor of daydreaming about fall (I think the frigid air conditioning really helps). Fall fashion is my favorite – I love the heavier textures, the darker colors and all the layering. I feel the same way about breaking out the knee-high boots that a lot of people feel about putting on flip flops for the first time in warmer weather. Last week, we launched our Fall 2009 Collection, and now I’ve got some fresh ideas for how to wear our hottest shoes.
